Who can foster?

There is no such thing as a typical foster carer.  Our foster carers come from all sections of society with different backgrounds, interests, and personalities.   The most relevant and special thing that bonds them all together, is their ability to provide love and care to a child who needs it the most, as well as the desire and capacity to make a difference to a child’s future.

If you are interested in fostering and you're over 21 and have the time, love and capacity to care for a child please get in touch.

We often speak to people who are interested in fostering but think they won’t be considered for reasons that are simply not true.  You can be single or married, male or female, a homeowner or renting, of any sexual orientation, have your own children or not, have pets, practice a religion or not - the list goes on.  So please don't rule yourself out!

"People are surprised when I say I'm a foster carer. If you’re caring and you have love to show to a child who needs it, you can help a child at the hardest time in their life, by just showing them you care"

David, Foster Carer

Our short film ‘Any of Us’ follows Chloe’s journey into care and illustrates how any of us have the potential to become a foster carer.  Three very different foster carers show how their caring nature could make any one of them Chloe's foster carer.
