There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ foster carer. We welcome foster carers with different backgrounds, skills and interests. The most relevant and special thing is the ability to provide a loving and secure home to children who need it the most.

A kind and caring nature maybe the most valuable trait of a foster carer. If you can provide the love, stability and rountine that may have been missing in a child’s life, you could really make a difference.

If you can see the situation from the child’s point of view, listen, understand and have patience; the rewards you'll get will far outweigh the challenges.
