As a 19 year old on the cusp of an exciting future at University, Bianca is now able to pursue her dreams and realise her potential, because of the opportunities being fostered gave to her.

Bianca told us how being fostered transformed her future..

“Being fostered has completely turned my life around, I was given the opportunity to focus on myself which allowed me to become a person I’m proud of.  Having someone who was always there for me every day, made me feel important and helped me realise my potential”

Before being fostered, I didn’t think about my future or have the opportunity to focus on myself. Now I know I want to help people and I’m soon going to start studying in London to be a primary school teacher. If I wasn’t fostered, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to consider it as a career.

I’m currently studying for my A levels at college and have had offers from all 5 Universities I’ve applied to.  I’d like to be a primary school teacher, with a speciality in Safeguarding so I can attend the LAC reviews to represent children in care.
