Foster4 is an exciting foster carer recruitment service for eight local authorities in Cheshire and Merseyside.
By working together with other fostering services, we are able to strengthen our support and training for foster carers, ensuring children and young people in our region can experience a safe and loving home when they need it most.
With over 4,600 children currently in care across the eight councils but just over 1,150 approved local authority foster carers available, there is an urgent need to recruit new foster carers for the most vulnerable children in our region.
There are many benefits to this collaboration current and future foster carers carers, including:
- Coming together as 8 local authorities to improve the support available for our existing and new foster carers.
- A shared and expanded training offer, giving foster carers access to a wider range of training across 8 local authorities in the North West.
- A mockingbird extended family support model, providing an extra layer of peer support for foster carers and children in their care.
