Our partnership with John Lewis

We've loved working alongside an organisation who shares the same values of wanting the absolute best for children in care, and we're excited to be back at John Lewis this Saturday the 27th May between 11-1PM.

Once John Lewis released their most recent Christmas advert ‘The Beginner’ about a foster care preparing for the arrival of his first foster child, we knew we had to get in touch!
John Lewis were supportive and open to working together from the very beginning. Their Community Liaison Coordinator, Chris Clark helped us organise a focus week to engage with their employees and customers, including daily drop-in events in John Lewis’ café area and an information evening event which was held in their community room.
We had the opportunity to share ‘Stand By Me’ artwork which was created by our local children. As it was displayed in the café throughout the week, we were able to draw people’s attention and begin the conversation around fostering, once they heard the story behind the artwork.
It was a great opportunity to speak to different people about fostering – to explain what fostering is and the difference it makes to children’s lives. If just one more person joins our fostering community as a result, this will make an enormous difference to a child’s life.
We've loved working alongside an organisation who shares the same values of wanting the absolute best for children in care and we can’t wait to speak to John Lewis’ customers again on the 27th May, during Foster Care Fortnight 2023 – a perfect time to continue the conversation around fostering.
